GB Innovation Completes Power Line Installation at Ssangjeon Mine
GB Innovation announced on August 12 that it has completed the construction of a large-scale power supply infrastructure, a key requirement for commercial production, at the Ssangnyeon Mine located in Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province.
This project was overseen by the North Gyeongsang branch of Korea Electric Power Corporation and was carried out under the name "Geumgangsong-myeon Ssangjeon-ri GB Innovation High-Voltage 2500kW New Installation Project." The work spanned a total of 4.8 kilometers from the entrance of Ssangjeon-ri village in Geumgangsong-myeon to the Ssangjeon Mine and took approximately three months to complete. With all administrative permits and approvals finalized, a stable supply of large-scale electricity is now possible.
Until now, the Ssangjeon Mine had operated with only minimal electricity supplied by its own power generation facilities. With the completion of this power line installation, it is now possible to expand underground safety facilities and operate major production equipment.
