Korea Institute of Architects Chosen as Service Provider for Project
The National Assembly Secretariat announced on the 11th that it has launched the 'Design Competition Management Service for the National Assembly Sejong Hall.'

View original imageThe National Assembly Sejong Hall is planned to be established in the Sejong-dong area of Sejong City, in accordance with Article 22-4 of the National Assembly Act and the regulations on the establishment and operation of the National Assembly Sejong Hall.
After completing ongoing negotiations on the total project cost with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the National Assembly Secretariat plans to hold a design competition and select the winning design by May next year, thereby presenting the blueprint for the National Assembly Sejong Hall.
The service is intended to ensure systematic planning and management of the design competition for the National Assembly Sejong Hall. The main tasks include: drafting guidelines for the competition, promoting the competition and building and operating a website, and receiving, managing, exhibiting, and awarding entries.
The Korea Institute of Architects has been selected as the service provider and will carry out the tasks over the next 15 months.

Kim Min-ki, Secretary General of the National Assembly, stated, "We will strive to incorporate the values of national sovereignty and the realization of carbon neutrality in the design competition process," adding, "We will make thorough preparations for the design competition to promote balanced national development, which is a core task of the National Assembly Sejong Hall project, and to enhance the efficiency of national administration."
