Wanju Cultural Foundation Holds "The Story of a Craftsman" Pop-up Exhibition Until the 24th
Five Craft Instructors Including Kang Bongseok and Kang Yebin Participate
The Wanju Cultural Foundation's Complex Cultural District Nuje will hold a pop-up exhibition titled "The Story of a Craftsman" at the Nuje Art Hall Exhibition Room 2 until August 24.
According to the foundation on August 11, this exhibition is a pop-up event where five craft instructors from the art education program "Kkomjirak Workshop"?Kang Bongseok (woodworking), Kang Yebin (ceramics), Kim Kyungmi (leather), Kim Surin (rattan), and Park Samhee (textile)?have come together to showcase both the process and results of their work through delightful displays.

View original imageIn addition to the works of the five participating artists, each of whom runs a workshop or studio with a unique character, the exhibition features well-worn tools they actually use and sketches made during the conceptualization of their pieces, allowing visitors to observe the artists' intentions.
This exhibition was planned with the hope that visitors will take a fresh look at crafts that have been consumed as a matter of course in daily life, and that it will serve as an opportunity to take a step closer to craft culture imbued with the lives of the artists.
