Both theoretical instruction and hands-on field experiences are included to deepen the learning experience.
The program is open to urban residents who are prospective returnees to farming and rural areas, as well as current returnees residing in the county. All courses are free of charge, and some courses offer the opportunity to obtain certifications.
Applicants can check the application documents on the Sunchang County website and then apply either in person at the Population Policy Division’s Returning to Farming and Rural Migration Team in Pungsan-myeon or by email. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, selection will be made based on priority qualifications. If fewer than 60% of the seats are filled, the course will not be offered.
In particular, the program will provide practical advice to participants by introducing the county’s population policies and sharing vivid settlement stories and experiences of both success and failure from previous returnees. Local agricultural experts and consultants will also participate, aiming to increase participant satisfaction with a highly professional program.
