LS Securities Successfully Completes Training Program for Global University Trading Challenge
On August 7, LS Securities announced that it had successfully completed a training program designed to prepare students for participation in the CME Group's Global University Trading Challenge.
CME Group is the world's largest derivatives exchange based in the United States, and it hosts the Global University Trading Challenge every year. In last year's competition, 568 teams from 180 universities across 23 countries participated.
LS Securities selected undergraduate and graduate students who wished to participate in the global trading challenge and provided them with two-hour weekly sessions on overseas derivatives from July 2 to July 23.
From July 24 to July 30, participants took part in a practical trading simulation and evaluation. Those selected as outstanding performers in the simulation will receive prize money of up to 2 million won.
LS Securities explained that this training program not only enhanced participants' understanding of derivatives, but also provided an opportunity for active networking among students preparing for careers in finance.
