Samsung Securities' Generative AI Advertisement Gains Popularity, Surpasses 3 Million Views
Introducing an Innovative Blockbuster-Style Advertisement with AI Technology
All Processes, from Casting to Editing, Achieved 100% through AI
Samsung Securities announced on August 6 that its advertisement video featuring generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become a hit, surpassing a total of 3 million views.
According to Samsung Securities, the advertisement currently airing on cable channels, titled "Scene's Move - Operation mPOP," utilizes generative AI video technology to deliver a highly immersive experience to viewers through natural camera movements and dramatic production. The video creates an urgent atmosphere reminiscent of a blockbuster disaster movie trailer and conveys the message that crises facing the world can be solved through the Samsung Securities mobile app, mPOP.
This advertising campaign was designed to break away from traditional advertising planning and reflects Samsung Securities' commitment to "actively utilizing AI technology to pursue innovative and new approaches." The production process also departed from conventional model casting or filming methods and was implemented entirely based on AI. A key feature of the advertisement is that all video content was created using AI programs, without any live-action footage or human-created content.
The campaign was produced based on the "Scene's Move - Operation mPOP" video, which was released on the Samsung Securities YouTube channel in June. Combined with the original concept video and the advertisement, the total number of views has reached 3 million.
Samsung Securities has already showcased a variety of AI-driven initiatives through YouTube content and other platforms. As of August 5, the trot music video "Usanghyang Life," which has surpassed 1.06 million views, was created using an AI composition tool to generate both the music and the singer's voice. In January, a series of overseas stock content for retail investors during the Lunar New Year holiday was also produced using AI and received positive feedback. By combining high-quality videos that would be difficult to achieve through conventional filming and editing processes with storytelling content that resonates with viewers, Samsung Securities' YouTube channel has surpassed 2.39 million subscribers.
In addition to this advertisement, Samsung Securities is releasing various types of AI-powered content. The investment sitcom "Hwanjang Planning," which centers on the concept of producing Samsung Securities ads using AI tools, is gaining popularity among viewers for the humor and relatability that arise from the unexpected results generated by AI. The company is also serializing a short-form drama series, "The Answer is POP POP POP," which presents solutions to everyday frustrations through the Samsung Securities MTS mPOP app.
