The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced on August 5 that it has established the "Generative AI Business Innovation Class" to foster practical talent capable of utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and is now recruiting participants.

View original imageThis training program focuses on developing the ability to apply generative AI to real-world tasks based on actual business data. The curriculum is centered around hands-on practice, enabling participants to supplement repetitive tasks in the workplace?such as report automation, tax filing support, and cash flow analysis?using AI. The program consists of two courses: "Exploring Generative AI," which provides an understanding of generative AI and practical training in its basic applications, and "AI-Driven Financial Accounting," which focuses on leveraging AI automation in accounting and tax-related work.
Any employee of an SME can apply for the training program through the agency's online training portal.
Starting with this course, the agency plans to gradually expand AI competency training tailored to various job functions?including planning, human resources, marketing, and quality management?beginning in 2026. The goal is to nurture field-ready AI talent who can immediately apply their skills to the workplace and to strengthen the agency's role as a central institution responding to the widespread AI transformation across industries.
