The "Digital Immersive Video Hall" within the Daecheongho Nature Ecology Center, where visitors can watch a video depicting the creation of Daecheongho Lake and enjoy media art content inspired by cherry blossoms, roses, and waterfalls, is gaining popularity among visitors and emerging as a trending hotspot.
Dong-gu District in Daejeon announced that the newly renovated Daecheongho Nature Ecology Center, upgraded through a smartization project, has already welcomed over 50,000 visitors by July this year, far surpassing last year’s total of 43,000 visitors. If this trend continues, the total number of visitors this year is expected to reach around 80,000.
The Media Ecology Hall on the third floor operates a variety of programs tailored to children, including ▲AR ecological experiences, ▲digital lakeside trail exploration, and ▲live sketching. These programs have received especially enthusiastic responses from young visitors during the summer vacation period.
The outdoor learning center is also running hands-on programs for children. Experiences such as potato harvesting, balsam flower dyeing, and cherry tomato picking, held in June and July, were fully booked as soon as registration opened, demonstrating high demand. In the future, programs such as making Injeolmi (Korean rice cake) are also scheduled to be introduced sequentially.
