Changnyeong County Achieves 91.5% Payment Rate for Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon by July
Proactive Promotion and On-site Applications Lead to High Payment Rate
Changnyeong County in Gyeongnam Province announced on August 4 that, as of July 31, the payment rate for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon had reached 91.5%.
Out of a total of 55,128 eligible recipients, 50,428 people received the coupons, amounting to approximately 11.15 billion KRW. This means that, within just two weeks since the payment began on July 21, nine out of ten county residents have received the consumption coupon. As a result, according to Gyeongnam Province's statistical data, Changnyeong County recorded the second-highest payment rate among counties in the province, following Geochang County.

Going forward, the county plans to further strengthen on-site application and registration, especially for basic livelihood security recipients and those in the lower-income bracket, with the goal of completing coupon payments to all eligible recipients within August. In addition, through meetings with village leaders, various organizations, and institutions, the county will also survey the preferred payment methods for the second round of payments (scheduled from September 22 to October 31), aiming to implement a tailored payment system centered on residents' convenience.
County Governor Sung Nakin stated, "We hope that the payment of the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon will serve as a catalyst for boosting consumption amid difficult economic conditions." He added, "Although we have achieved a payment rate exceeding 90% by July, we will do our utmost to ensure that all county residents receive their coupons as soon as possible."
