Supporting SMEs in Flood-Affected Areas... Korea Small and Medium Venture Business Distribution Agency Holds Special Disaster Area Exhibition
Products from Disaster-Affected Regions Showcased at Dongbanseongjang Mall
The Korea Small and Medium Venture Business Distribution Agency announced on August 4 that it will hold a "Special Disaster Area Support Exhibition" through the Dongbanseongjang Mall to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in regions affected by flood damage.
This exhibition has been organized to promote and boost sales of products from SMEs located in Gapyeong-gun in Gyeonggi Province, Seosan-si and Yesan-gun in South Chungcheong Province, Damyang-gun in South Jeolla Province, Sancheong-gun and Hapcheon-gun in South Gyeongsang Province, which were declared special disaster areas on July 22. The exhibition is scheduled to run from August 4 to August 31, and will feature 180 products from SMEs in the disaster-affected areas, including traditional liquors such as Chusa Apple Wine and Cheongjinju, as well as rice almond gangjeong bars and pine nut and walnut mixed nuts, all available at reasonable prices.

Lee Taesik, CEO of the agency, said, "We have organized this exhibition to support SMEs so that they do not suffer a double hardship due to flood damage in addition to the difficulties caused by sluggish domestic demand and the economic downturn."
