Yongin City: "AI to Handle Civil Complaints at Night"
Use of AI Voicebot for Civil Complaint Guidance in 15 Categories
Reports of Daily Inconveniences Such as Potholes and Roadkill Also Available
On August 4, the city of Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, announced that it has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) voicebot to provide nighttime civil complaint consultation services even after the business hours of its civil complaint call center have ended.
The AI voicebot provides civil complaint guidance and daily inconvenience reporting services in place of human counselors.
The main areas covered by the civil complaint consultation include 15 categories such as administrative civil complaints, passports, local taxes, culture and tourism, and health and welfare. The daily inconvenience reporting service covers 15 types of issues, including streetlight malfunctions, roadkill, potholes, and uncollected garbage.
After the call center’s business hours, reports of daily inconveniences can be linked to the civil complaint chatbot, which then forwards the information to the responsible department for processing. The city expects that nighttime civil complaint consultations will enhance convenience for citizens.
