It also emphasized that, given the project's high level of public interest and necessity, understanding and cooperation among organizational members is of utmost importance.
This project is being jointly promoted by six local governments, including Yangju City, and the planned site is in the Bangseong 1-ri area of Baekseok-eup. According to the city, the site is currently surrounded by a private cemetery, large transmission towers, a military base (8th Division), and the Sampyo quarry development. Because of these surrounding features, the area has low potential for urban expansion and is a forested region located a certain distance from residential zones, which means there is relatively little concern about a decline in real estate values.
In particular, Bangseong 1-ri village previously decided not to limit the use of the 10 billion won fund, which will be provided as part of a resident support project, to a specific area. Instead, the fund will be returned to an educational foundation serving all of Yangju City. This is regarded as a positive example of coexistence with residents and investment in future generations.
The city also introduced to all employees examples of modernized funeral facilities currently operated in Suwon, Sejong, and Hwaseong, highlighting that funeral facilities have changed from being considered undesirable facilities in the past to becoming eco-friendly spaces with enhanced public value.

Currently, the city is proceeding step by step with consultations with relevant agencies, including a feasibility study and a local financial investment review. In addition, to ensure smooth progress of the project, the city is making efforts to actively communicate with citizens, civic organizations, and various stakeholders. To this end, the city plans to continue a variety of initiatives to build consensus and increase understanding, such as holding on-site resident briefings and site visits to the Bangseong 1-ri project area.
