On this day, the Council personally delivered Samgyetang and snacks to 350 seniors aged 70 and above, while carefully monitoring the health of the elderly who are particularly vulnerable to heat waves. Council members visited each household to deliver the Samgyetang and also conducted emotional care activities by checking in on the well-being of the seniors.
In addition, the Council visited local welfare facilities, including community child centers and nursing homes, to offer comfort and support to both staff and residents, spreading warmth throughout the community.
One senior who received the Samgyetang expressed gratitude, saying, "It is difficult to go out in this intense heat, so having food delivered directly to me is a great help."
Yu Eokgeun, Chairperson of the Imja-myeon Community Social Security Council, stated, "We will continue our ongoing interest and practical efforts so that seniors can spend a safe and healthy summer."
