Gwangjin District to Launch Pilot Operation of Integrated Urban Planning Platform 'Gwangjin Urban Planning+' in August
Gwangjin District Launches Integrated Urban Planning Platform
Easy Access to Housing Project Status
Gwangjin District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Kyungho) will begin a pilot operation of its integrated platform, "Gwangjin Urban Planning+ (Plus)," which consolidates all urban planning information for the district in one place, starting next month.
This platform was designed to make the specific details of the district’s long-term urban vision, the "2040 Gwangjin Re-Creation Plan," announced in 2024, more accessible to residents. It aims to transparently share the city's future blueprint.
Previously, in order to check the direction of urban planning by neighborhood or the status of major housing projects, residents had to search multiple sites individually, such as the district office website and the Land Use Planning Information Service. In contrast, "Gwangjin Urban Planning+" is designed with an intuitive, visually focused interface so that even residents unfamiliar with urban planning can easily access related information.
The platform consists of three main sections: the "2040 Gwangjin Re-Creation Plan," "Urban Planning Information by Parcel," and "Status of Housing Projects." The "2040 Gwangjin Re-Creation Plan" section introduces development strategies for four major zones, four functional axes, and the progress of key projects at major hubs.
In the "Urban Planning Information by Parcel" section, planning information for each plot is updated monthly, and a 3D simulation feature visually presents building images. The "Status of Housing Projects" section summarizes the progress of major urban development projects such as Rapid Integrated Planning, Moa Town, and reconstruction.
Kim Kyungho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, stated, "The establishment of this platform will make it easier for residents to understand urban planning and will serve as an opportunity to increase interest and participation in regional development. We will continue to share the district's development direction and vision with residents and strive to establish the platform as a hub for communication through ongoing improvements and content enhancements."
