The photo zone is more than a simple installation; it serves as a space where residents can share the historical significance of the 30th anniversary of Gijang-gun's restoration and the 80th anniversary of Liberation, while envisioning the future together. In particular, its location at the temporary office plaza makes it easily accessible to everyone, and it is expected to help promote the new office building as well.
A representative of the Gijang-eup Residents' Autonomous Committee stated, "It is meaningful to create a commemorative space with residents, reflecting the region's identity and hope," and added, "We will continue to pursue various resident participation-based cultural projects."
This project began with a proposal from Advisor Kim Dooho, with support for on-site work from Committee Member Yoo Pyeonggyu (President of the Gijang-eup Village Leaders' Association), Committee Member Son Dongwoo, and with practical cooperation from Han Jiseok, Chair of the Culture and Sports Subcommittee, and Kim Heechang, Member of the Welfare and Education Subcommittee, leading to its completion.
