Kakao Entertainment Recruiting Participants for 'Webtoon Feedback Day' Until August 3
The event will be held on August 20
Approximately 30 participants in total
Kakao Entertainment announced on the 28th that it is recruiting participants for the general category of the '2025 Webtoon Feedback Day', which will be held on August 20.
Webtoon Feedback Day is a hands-on mentoring program where aspiring creators can receive one-on-one feedback from Kakao Webtoon producers on the strengths and areas for improvement in their submitted works. Even if the work is not yet ready for official serialization, participants can refine the direction and completeness of their projects.
This event targets approximately 30 people, including 19 university-industry partnership students and general aspiring creators. Among them, general category participants (webtoon writer hopefuls and rookie creators with less than one year of experience) will be recruited through the Kakao Webtoon platform until August 3. Applicants can download the application form from the announcement and submit a project proposal along with a completed manuscript for the first episode. About five individuals (or teams) will be selected for the general category, and those selected will receive in-depth feedback on their works for about one hour at the Kakao Entertainment headquarters on August 20.
Since 2020, Kakao Entertainment has supported aspiring creators based on university-industry partnerships with universities specializing in comics and webtoons. The company operates various programs, including Super Pass (a class-linked program), the Super Challenge Webtoon Contest, and Feedback Day. In particular, Feedback Day, which began in 2023, has received high satisfaction from creators. As a result, recruitment for general participants began last year, and starting this year, the event will be held twice annually. Through the Super Challenge Webtoon Contest, works such as 'Confession! Destruction! Love!', 'I Will Steal My First Love!', 'Adult Practice', and 'Veteran Supporting Actor's Work Log' have successfully debuted as serialized webtoons.
