Province and Cities Hold Video Conference...
Preventing Omitted Damages and Sharing "On-Site Application" Cases
Chungnam Province is responding swiftly to promote consumer spending through livelihood recovery consumer coupons and to support small business owners affected by heavy rainfall.
On July 24, the province held a video conference in the provincial government’s video conference room, chaired by Director of Industry and Economy An Ho, with heads of relevant departments from 15 cities and counties, under the theme of “Livelihood Recovery Consumer Coupons and Support for Small Business Owners Affected by Heavy Rain.”
The province requested active cooperation from the cities and counties regarding the following: prompt distribution of consumer coupons; strengthening of the “on-site application” service for vulnerable groups; guidance and publicity on coupon usage; and establishment of a management system to prevent illegal distribution.
In particular, Buyeo County’s operation of “on-site application desks” was highlighted as a notable example.
Buyeo County, in cooperation with its welfare department, is proactively addressing blind spots such as nursing hospitals and child care facilities to minimize inconvenience for vulnerable groups.
The province is also discussing support criteria for small business owners affected by recent torrential rains and is actively reviewing livelihood support measures for merchants who suffered flood damage in designated special disaster areas.
Director An Ho stated, “We will thoroughly assess the situation to ensure no damage is overlooked, and we will do our utmost to ensure swift recovery and prevent further damage,” adding, “We will do our best to seize the golden time for livelihood recovery consumer coupons and support for small business owners.”
