Women's Business Community: "Minister Han Seongsook Is the Ideal Leader for Digital Transformation"
The women's business community expressed its sincere congratulations on July 24 for the inauguration of Han Seongsook, a former female entrepreneur, as the first Minister of SMEs and Startups in the Lee Jaemyung administration.
The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association stated in a commentary on the same day, "Minister Han was the first female CEO of Naver and is a first-generation IT expert who pioneered the digital platform industry, leading South Korea's digital economic transformation." The association added, "Based on her unique delicacy and inclusiveness as a woman, Minister Han's experience and insight gained in the field are expected to translate into practical policies that will drive the recovery and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners."
The association further stated, "Digital transformation and strengthening innovation capabilities of women-owned businesses are areas where Minister Han can make the most outstanding contributions." It continued, "The 'digital grand transformation,' 'creation of a smart manufacturing ecosystem,' and 'innovation of policy delivery systems' emphasized in her inaugural address are expected to become important turning points in improving the constitution of women-owned businesses and establishing a foundation for sustainable growth."

The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association also said, "We deeply resonate with Minister Han's policy direction of 'real growth,' which aims to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs and startups through innovative technologies such as digital and artificial intelligence (AI)." The association added, "We will continue to work closely with the government and faithfully fulfill our role as a strong partner for the digital innovation of women-owned businesses, revitalization of domestic demand, and expansion of exports."
