Full-scale Entry into the Chinese Market with the "Cheonpungjeong" Brand
5,000 Sets of Red Ginseng Processed Foods Targeting Premium Consumers
Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative (President Kwon Heonjun) held the first shipment ceremony for its red ginseng processed food brand "Cheonpungjeong," which is targeting the Chinese market, on July 24, officially launching its efforts to enter China.
This export will begin with 5,000 sets of red ginseng processed foods and is expected to reach a scale of approximately 650 million KRW by the end of this year. The products will primarily be distributed in Guangzhou and Shanghai, China. The main target consumers are the local middle class and above, in response to the increasing demand for premium health foods.
About 20 people attended the shipment ceremony, including Han Sang-sook, head of the Agricultural Technology Center, officials from Yeongju City, city council members Jeon Punglim, Son Seongho, and Kim Juyeong, as well as representatives from Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative and the Export Business Council.
Kwon Heonjun, president of the cooperative, stated, "Cheonpungjeong is a premium brand created based on thorough quality control and local market analysis. With this export, we aim to widely promote the excellence of Punggi red ginseng in Asia and the global market."
Han Sang-sook, head of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "Punggi red ginseng is a top-quality health food produced in a pristine natural environment. We expect this export to revitalize local agriculture and the economy."

With this export as a starting point, Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative plans to expand its product lineup to include various red ginseng processed products such as concentrates, sticks, and pouches, while also strengthening local distribution networks and marketing.
