Hyundai AutoEver SW Platform 'Mobilgene 2.0' Achieves Highest Global Safety Rating
Hyundai AutoEver announced on July 24 that its vehicle software (SW) platform, 'Mobilgene Classic 2.0,' has received the highest grade, Grade D, in the 'Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL)' certification.
ASIL is an international standard that verifies the safety of electrical and electronic systems installed in vehicles, with certificates issued by the global certification body 'DNV' after a thorough review. ASIL is divided into grades A through D, with Grade D being the highest. To receive a Grade D, the vehicle's electrical and electronic systems must either not fail or, if they do, the likelihood of an accident resulting from such failures must be extremely low.

Previously, in 2021, Hyundai AutoEver obtained ASIL Grade D certification for eight modules. Modules are the fundamental building blocks of vehicle software, and are largely categorized into communication, system, and memory. Each category contains more than ten modules. Each module is responsible for functions such as data transmission, diagnostics, and hardware communication. The proper functioning of each module is essential for the smooth operation of the vehicle software system.
Previously, 'Mobilgene Adaptive' also received the ASIL Grade D certification. This is a separate vehicle software platform from Mobilgene Classic. It is optimized for controllers based on high-performance application processors (AP), which are required for connectivity, infotainment systems, and autonomous driving systems that need to rapidly process large volumes of information.
