Sasaeng Fan Fined in First Trial for Unauthorized Entry and Theft at NewJeans Residence
A man in his 20s was sentenced to a fine in the first trial for illegally breaking into the residence of the group NewJeans (NJZ) and stealing items.

View original imageOn July 23, Judge Kim Minjeong of the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 9 sentenced Kim (29), who was charged with breaking and entering and theft, to a fine of 10 million won.
Judge Kim stated, "He repeatedly broke into the residence, stole items, and took photos of the interior, which he then posted online without consent." However, she also explained, "At the time, the residence he entered was not occupied by the celebrities themselves, so the risk of direct privacy infringement was low, and the value of the stolen items was small. These factors were taken into consideration."

Kim was indicted on charges of unlawfully entering the NewJeans residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on December 18 and 21 last year, and stealing items such as hangers and placards.
