Aero K Operates Dedicated Counters for Transportation-Vulnerable Passengers at Cheongju Airport: "Priority Boarding Service Provided"
Celebrating 3 Million Cumulative Passengers
Strengthening Customized Services Ahead of Kitakyushu Launch in September
Aero K Airlines, which is rapidly expanding with Cheongju International Airport as its base, has begun operating dedicated counters for transportation-vulnerable passengers.
Having surpassed a cumulative total of 3 million passengers, Aero K announced on July 23 that it has officially been operating "dedicated counters for transportation-vulnerable passengers" at Counter 1 for international flights and Counter 32 for domestic flights at Cheongju Airport since July 14.
These counters are available for passengers using wheelchairs, those with visual or hearing impairments, and other transportation-vulnerable individuals and their companions who require staff assistance. They can be used flexibly on-site without the need for advance reservations.
Customers using these counters are offered priority check-in and priority boarding at the gate, with a focus on reducing wait times and enhancing convenience when using the airport.
An Aero K representative stated, "Due to the structural limitations of Cheongju Airport, it is difficult to install separate lines, but we have introduced on-site focused services by efficiently utilizing existing counters to provide practical support." The representative further explained, "As our route network expands, demand for air travel among transportation-vulnerable passengers is also increasing, which led us to decide to operate dedicated counters."
Meanwhile, Aero K is set to launch a new route to Kitakyushu, Japan on September 30, and plans to introduce two additional aircraft within the year. This will accelerate the expansion of routes to major Asian cities such as Okinawa in Japan, Nha Trang in Vietnam, Chengdu, Huangshan, Weihai, and Yantai in China, and Macau.
The representative added, "We will continue to expand customized services that take into account the diverse needs of our customer base."
