In particular, unique Taegeukgi flags embodying the three core values of "abundance, life, and harmony" were created, drawing attention.
First, the "Taegeukgi of Abundance" was made using various grains to wish for the prosperity of Korea. The "Taegeukgi of Life" was crafted by recycling discarded bottle caps to emphasize the importance of environmental protection for a clean planet. The "Taegeukgi of Harmony" was completed by sewing together fabric from unused clothing, representing the hope for coexistence and unity among generations, social classes, and regions.
Kim Jinhong, Director of Dalseo Senior Welfare Center, said, "In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, we organized this meaningful event to remember the sacrifices of our forefathers and to pass on the spirit of patriotism to future generations." He added, "I hope that these Taegeukgi flags will serve as an opportunity to reflect on the values of abundance, respect for life, and unity in our society, along with the joy of liberation."
