Man Sentenced to Prison for Breaking Into Courthouse and Pushing Police with Barricade During Western District Court Riot
A man who broke into the courthouse and pushed police officers with a barricade during the riot at the Western District Court has been sentenced to prison in the first trial.

View original imageOn July 22, Judge Heo Junseo, the presiding judge of the Criminal Division 11 of the Seoul Western District Court, sentenced Kim (24) to two years in prison on charges of special trespassing into a building and obstruction of official duties with dangerous means.
Judge Heo stated, "The defendant bears significant responsibility for breaking into the courthouse, which was under police control, and threatening the police in protest against the court's decision." However, he added, "I have also taken into consideration that this is the defendant's first offense and that he has shown remorse, albeit belatedly."
