Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office and Busan Headquarters of Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Hold July Safety Workplace Creation Day Campaign
The Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (headed by Kim Junhui) and the Busan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (headed by Jeong Jongdeuk) conducted a Safety Workplace Creation Day campaign on the 21st at HJ Heavy Industries located in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, targeting shipbuilding site workers.

View original imageThis Safety Workplace Creation Day campaign was held in cooperation with the Korea Industrial Safety and Health Association and on-site safety personnel. Utilizing workers' lunch break, the campaign aimed to spread the five basic heatwave safety rules and safety messages, distribute heat illness prevention guides (OPS) and prevention items (such as ion drinks), and raise awareness of the importance of preventing heat-related illnesses and promoting a culture of safety.
The five basic heatwave safety rules are water, shade, rest, cooling equipment, and emergency measures.
In addition, Director Kim Junhui and Director Jeong Jongdeuk toured the HJ Heavy Industries site to inspect the implementation of the five basic heatwave safety rules and the overall status of on-site safety and health management. They urged for continued efforts to prevent serious industrial accidents and expressed their commitment to industrial accident prevention.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency conduct the Safety Workplace Creation Day campaign every month, focusing on risk factors specific to various industries and time periods. They also carry out a range of activities, including on-site inspections within their jurisdiction and joint campaigns with the Busan Regional Safety Culture Promotion Team.
