"2025 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey" to Be Conducted Using "Government24" App
Non-face-to-face Survey Until August 31
In-person Visits for Non-participants Starting in September
Daejeon City will conduct the "2025 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey" as a non-face-to-face digital survey using the "Government24" app.
The resident registration fact-finding survey will be conducted for all citizens from July 21 to October 13, 2025. This national survey aims to confirm whether the registered address matches the actual place of residence, and to secure basic data for policy development, such as addressing welfare blind spots.
First, from 9 a.m. on July 21 to August 31, a non-face-to-face digital survey will be conducted using the "Government24" app. Survey participants must access the app from their registered address and respond. One member per household, whose address matches the registered address, can participate on behalf of the entire household. The actual residence is verified through location (GPS) confirmation.
Households that do not participate in the non-face-to-face survey, as well as those designated as key survey targets by the government, will receive in-person visits from September 1 to October 23.
Key survey targets include: ▲ individuals aged 100 or older ▲ persons whose residence status has been unknown for five years or more ▲ households at high risk of welfare crisis ▲ individuals suspected of being deceased ▲ households with children who have been absent or not enrolled in school for an extended period without valid reasons.
In particular, for high-risk households identified by signs of crisis such as electricity or water supply cutoffs and requested for investigation by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the survey results will be shared with the ministry to support crisis response and welfare assistance.
If the results of the in-person survey by the community leader reveal a discrepancy between the resident registration and the actual place of residence, the responsible public official will conduct additional verification. If necessary, the relevant district office will carry out notification and announcement procedures, and from October 24 to November 20, corrections will be made ex officio.
