Since signing a joint cooperation agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 2013 to support and protect vulnerable housing groups during cold waves and heat waves, the company has continued various forms of support for the past 12 years. Starting this year, to promote residents' nutritional balance and health, HiteJinro is operating the 'Ongi Warehouse Vitamin Project,' which supplies fresh, seasonal foods every month through the 'Ongi Warehouse,' a specialized food market for shantytown communities run by the city of Seoul. Previously, in March, the company completed a pilot program by providing 250 servings of seven types of fruits and vegetables?including apples, Hallabong oranges, and shepherd's purse?to the Ongi Warehouse at Seoul Station shantytown, and in June, it supported the opening of a new Ongi Warehouse in Yeongdeungpo shantytown.
HiteJinro plans to provide customized foods tailored to each season and occasion every month through the end of the year, starting with healthy meals to help residents endure the July heat, followed by nourishing foods for Boknal (the hottest days of August), seasonal foods for the bountiful autumn in September, and traditional Chuseok holiday foods in October. The 'Ongi Warehouse Vitamin Project' is carried out in collaboration with 'Mr. Appa,' a fresh food startup in which HiteJinro has made a direct equity investment.
