Inspecting Agricultural Machinery Safety Management and Flood Damage
The Hwasun County Council in South Jeolla Province (Chairperson: Oh Hyungyeol) visited major project sites by each standing committee on July 18, during the 275th extraordinary session, to inspect the progress of projects and exchange opinions with relevant officials and residents.
The General Affairs Committee (Chairperson: Jo Myungsun) visited the Hwasun Artist Village, the Youth Center Media Workshop, and the Youth House to check on their operations. At the Artist Village, the committee raised the need to extend artist contracts, expand experiential events, and strengthen promotional efforts. For youth spaces, they requested greater content diversity and improved accessibility. The committee members also suggested the development of customized programs at the Media Workshop, expansion of operations to include the middle-aged demographic, and stronger promotion of the Youth House.

View original imageThe Industry and Construction Committee (Chairperson: Cho Saehyun) visited the Neungju main office and the Chunnyang branch of the Hwasun County Agricultural Machinery Rental Office to inspect the facilities and equipment. They emphasized the need for policy support to increase the mechanization rate of farming operations and to address labor shortages.
Measures to prevent safety accidents related to the use of agricultural machinery were also pointed out. The committee members urged that the deployment of professional personnel and the strengthening of safety education are necessary to minimize accidents.
On the same day, the committee members visited farms in the Chunnyang-myeon area that were damaged by heavy rain on July 17. They offered comfort to affected residents and stated that the council would make every effort to ensure swift recovery and to establish measures to prevent recurrence.
