Iksan City Urges Residents to Apply for Consumption Coupons via Dairoome App
Available at Over 14,400 Affiliated Merchants
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province is actively promoting the use of the local currency "Dairoome" as a way to maximize the practical benefits of the "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon."
According to the city on July 18, existing Dairoome app users will be able to conveniently apply for and recharge the consumption coupon through the app without any additional authentication procedures starting from July 21.

The consumption coupon received via Dairoome can be used at more than 14,400 Dairoome-affiliated merchants, excluding 262 policy-issued merchants such as Hanaro Mart and certain gas stations where annual policy issuance exceeds 3 billion KRW. It is expected to be a highly effective measure to boost local consumption and increase sales for small businesses.
Consumption coupons can also be used at "policy-support merchants" that offer additional Dairoome benefits. The city operates these merchants, providing a 10% subsidy on Dairoome payments. There are 79 such locations, including Youth Mall, Good Price Stores, local bookstores, and Chicken Road. When making payments at these merchants, users receive a monthly cashback benefit of 20,000 KRW per program.
Payments can be made easily without a physical card by scanning the Quick Response (QR) code provided at the business location. Since QR payments are exempt from merchant fees, this also helps reduce the financial burden on small business owners.
In particular, at the local food direct stores (Eoyang Branch and Mohyeon Branch) operated by the city, only consumption coupons received via Dairoome can be used. In some business categories where prepaid, credit, or debit cards are restricted depending on the payment method, Dairoome consumption coupons are still available.
For citizens' convenience, merchants where the consumption coupon can be used will display a special sticker. Merchants can obtain these stickers by visiting the administrative welfare center of their respective town, township, or neighborhood.
Consumption coupons applied for via Dairoome will be recharged the following day, and users will receive a KakaoTalk notification confirming the payment details. The consumption coupon is valid until November 30, and early use is recommended.
Mayor Jung Heon-yul stated, "We expect the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon to go beyond short-term support and serve as an opportunity to stimulate local consumption and foster joint growth between small businesses and citizens. I encourage everyone to receive their consumption coupon through Iksan Dairoome and enjoy even more benefits."
Meanwhile, Dairoome gift certificates are typically deducted in order of the earliest expiration date, but depending on user settings, consumption coupons can be set to be used later. Users should check under "All Menu → Gift Certificates → Priority Payment Gift Certificate Settings" to ensure that the "Deduct gift certificates with the earliest expiration date first" option is selected.
