Namdong-gu, Incheon Opens Neunggollo to Improve Access in Susan-dong Restricted Development Area
Namdong-gu, Incheon announced on the 18th that it has opened Neunggollo to improve the living convenience of residents within the restricted development area around Susan-dong.
Through this project, the district established Neunggollo So2-362 Line (258 meters in length, 8 meters in width) and the connected Nambalchon So2-2 Line (55 meters in length, 8 meters in width).
The two routes are expected to serve as a key link connecting the Neunggol District and Nambalchon District, both of which are settlement zones released from the restricted development area.

View original imageThis area had long used a "customary road" that was not legally designated as a road but served as a passageway for residents. However, with the road being only 3 meters wide, there were risks of traffic accidents and difficulties for emergency vehicles such as fire trucks to access the area.
In response, the district secured a budget through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2023 Resident Support Project for Restricted Development Areas, pursued the construction of Neunggollo, and additionally established a connecting road network to the surrounding settlement zones.

Park Jonghyo, head of Namdong-gu District Office, said, "We expect that the opening of this road will improve the living conditions of residents who have long suffered inconvenience in commuting. We will continue to communicate regularly with residents and make ongoing efforts to promote balanced regional development and expand transportation infrastructure."
