The Only Achievement in Busan
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on July 18 that Busan Information High School was selected as an excellent school in the '2024 Industry-Academia Integrated Apprenticeship School Performance Evaluation,' which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Education.
This evaluation comprehensively analyzed the performance of apprenticeship education operations, the level of cooperation with companies, and the results of career and employment linkage for 82 apprenticeship project groups and 166 participating schools nationwide. Only two project groups and four schools were ultimately selected as excellent schools. In Busan, Busan Information High School was the only school selected.
Busan Information High School operates an industry-academia integrated apprenticeship education program in the field of tax accounting information management. Currently, one third-grade class (16 students) and 16 partner companies are participating in this program. The program focuses on systematically providing field-oriented education tailored to students' majors and job roles, thereby enhancing their job expertise and adaptability in the workplace.
Through a variety of substantial programs, such as customized curriculum design, apprenticeship-dedicated teacher training, and faculty workshops, students' major competencies and career awareness have been significantly improved, leading to a marked improvement in employment outcomes.
Busan Information High School has achieved high satisfaction from both students and companies through various programs, including the operation of a joint training center, company mentor linkage, workplace understanding programs, and field experience-based classes.
Kim Seokjun, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "The selection of Busan Information High School as an excellent school is the result of innovative vocational education created jointly by the school and companies." He added, "We will continue to provide full support for the establishment of the apprenticeship education and the employment-first, study-later system."
