SK Chemicals is expanding its internal reward system to foster a research-oriented culture within the company.
On July 17, SK Chemicals announced that it held the 8th Researcher of the Year Award ceremony at the Ecolab in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and selected three research teams that contributed to strengthening the competitiveness of its core products as award recipients. This year, the award structure was expanded from the previous single-team selection to include two teams (four individuals) for the Grand Prize and one team for the Encouragement Award.

View original imageThe Grand Prize was awarded for two projects: process improvement for the functional materials 'SKYPEL' and 'SKYBON,' and a project to enhance the properties of the eco-friendly material 'ECOZEN Pro.' Both projects were recognized for achieving cost reduction and product performance improvement simultaneously, demonstrating both marketability and technological excellence. The Encouragement Award went to a research team that successfully developed shrink film based on accumulated technology.
