This program, which is planned and operated by residents themselves, aims to empower residents to take the lead in addressing various local issues, improving the village living environment, and revitalizing community activities. The project is carried out by having residents directly propose local issues and implement solutions. This year, a total of four teams were selected through the planning competition.
The "Traditional Craft Culture Research Association" is organizing craft experience programs for residents and plans to expand into a self-sustaining local club in the future. The "Jeontongui Maek Club" is commercializing traditional food recipes and experimenting with a village business model linked to urban regeneration.
"Cheongnyeon Yego" is documenting the Changpyeong urban regeneration project through video, capturing the region's identity and memories, while the "Sidong Village Community Council" is working to improve alleyway landscapes by installing designer mailboxes. Based on the results of the program, the county plans to expand resident participation and support further experimentation going forward.
A county official stated, "The outcomes of this program will bring positive changes throughout the village and further promote communication and harmony among residents," adding, "We will continue our efforts to ensure that resident-led urban regeneration takes root in a stable way."
