At 11:00 a.m. local time (5:00 p.m. Korean time) on the same day, Mayor Kim met with Mayor Tahir Buyukakin of Kocaeli at Kocaeli City Hall to discuss ways to enhance industrial and cultural cooperation between the two cities. This visit was made together with an economic and cultural delegation composed of representatives from Ulsan-based companies.
During the meeting, Mayor Kim stated, "Ulsan and Kocaeli share similar industrial foundations, such as automobiles and petrochemicals, and therefore have great potential for cooperation as industrial capitals. Let us develop as partners who grow together through continuous and close collaboration."
