Yulchon Recruits Former High-Ranking Officials Including Namgwan Jo and Seungwook Moon

On July 9, Yulchon LLC announced that it had recruited former high-ranking officials from the government and prosecution, as well as a current member of the Democratic Party of Korea, in order to strengthen its public affairs operations and corporate advisory services in response to U.S. trade pressure, following the launch of the new administration.

Namgwan Jo, former Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office (24th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), has joined Yulchon's litigation group as a member of the criminal team. He previously served as an administrative officer in the Office of Civil Affairs at the Blue House during the Roh Moo-hyun administration, and as Director-General of the Criminal Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Justice and Acting Prosecutor General during the Moon Jae-in administration. Known as an expert in criminal law, Attorney Jo is expected to contribute to strengthening the expertise of Yulchon's criminal team.
Seungwook Moon, former Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy during the Moon Jae-in administration, has been recruited as an advisor to Yulchon's Trade and Industry Specialist Team. Advisor Moon, who has also served as Deputy Commissioner of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangnam-do, plans to actively provide corporate advisory services in response to U.S. tariff and trade policies, leveraging his extensive experience in industrial policy.
Seongho Choi, former Secretary General of the Board of Audit and Inspection, has joined as an advisor. He is recognized for his outstanding leadership in leading the organization as Secretary General during the Moon Jae-in administration.
Yongseon Choi, Deputy Director of the Institute for Democracy under the Democratic Party of Korea, has been recruited as a senior specialist. He has accumulated diverse experience by researching various policies at the Institute for Democracy and serving as a defense industry officer and senior administrative officer in the National Situation Room at the Blue House during the Moon Jae-in administration.
