On the morning of July 8, Gwangju Mayor Kang Gijung met with Lee Beomsik (60, Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province) at the Open Culture Space on the first floor of City Hall to encourage his left-foot walking journey in support of the successful hosting of the 2025 Gyeongju APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit. Lee is embarking on a 21-day, 400-kilometer walk from Gwangju City Hall to Gyeongju, from July 8 to July 27, to wish for the successful hosting of APEC and to deliver a message of harmony between the eastern and western regions.
