Man in His 60s Arrested at Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service in Changwon After Pouring Gasoline on Himself and Causing Disturbance
A man in his 60s was arrested by police after attempting to pour a flammable substance on himself and set himself on fire at the Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service office in Seongsan-gu, Changwon, Gyeongnam.
According to the Changwon Jungbu Police Station, at around 1:15 p.m. on July 4, a man in his 60s, identified as A, is suspected of causing a disturbance by pouring gasoline on himself in the second-floor office of the Changwon branch of the Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service.
The police, who responded after receiving a report from an employee of the agency, arrested A at the scene.
It was reported that he harbored dissatisfaction with the agency regarding the handling of his industrial accident case.
The police plan to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
