Obigo Begins Supplying Solutions for Hyundai Motor Group's European Models... Royalty Expansion Expected
Obigo, a company specializing in software-defined vehicle (SDV) service platforms, announced on July 4 that it will supply entertainment solutions for Hyundai Motor Group's 2025 European new models.
This supply involves providing entertainment solutions such as YouTube to the Kia EV3, which is equipped with the latest ccNC (connected car Navigation Cockpit) infotainment system, via over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The rollout began with the update in April. Obigo's entertainment solution is expected to be expanded to various Hyundai Motor Group models, including other Kia vehicles such as Sportage, EV4, EV5, and K4.
This service is optimized to provide online video service (OTT) content smoothly while complying with in-vehicle safety regulations. As the European market has high expectations for in-car content consumption, the company expects the Obigo solution to further enhance the local customer experience.
