[Breaking] President Lee: "Tariff Negotiations Very Difficult... Hard to Confirm Completion by the 8th"
President Lee Jaemyung stated on July 3 that, although the comprehensive tariff negotiations with the United States are in a very challenging situation, every effort is being made.
On July 3, during a press conference held at the Blue House State Guest House to mark his first month in office, President Lee made these comments in response to a question about the ongoing tariff negotiations. He added, "It is difficult to give a definite answer as to whether the negotiations can be concluded by the July 8 deadline."
President Lee said, "I have given a lot of thought to how to respond when questions about tariff issues arise," and continued, "There are aspects related to security, and even discussing the matter itself could have an impact, so it is a difficult topic to address."
