Starting from July 7, Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province will allocate a budget of 6.5 billion KRW to create 782 public jobs for the second half of the year.

View original imageThe number of recruits by project category is as follows: 129 for Gwangmyeong Happy Jobs, 189 for New Middle-aged Jobs, 106 for Together Jobs, 16 for Local Community Jobs, 90 for New Youth Jobs, 208 for Youth Part-time Jobs, and 44 for Youth Internships.
Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong City, stated, "By expanding public jobs, we will protect citizens' 'right to work' and provide tangible support to the local economy."
Participants in the public jobs program will be assigned to a total of 58 departments according to departmental needs. 'Gwangmyeong Happy Jobs' covers five areas, including cleaning public restrooms in traditional markets and washing toys at the Toy Library. 'New Middle-aged Jobs' consists of six areas, such as health and welfare services, support for public institution cafeterias, and Gachidolbom Managers.
Among these, the 'Gachidolbom Manager' position is newly introduced this time. It is a specialized care job that selects 19 experienced women in their 50s and 60s with childcare qualifications, provides them with job training, and assigns them to 10 local children's centers and 9 Together Care Centers. This is an innovative public job designed to help women return to the workforce after a career break and to enhance the professionalism of care services.

Additionally, 'Together Jobs' consists of four areas, including safety supervisors at large construction sites and the Gwangmyeong Hope Ddingdong Project Team. 'Local Community Jobs' covers four areas, such as pet management projects and the Umbrella Repair Center project. 'New Youth Jobs' is composed of three areas: libraries, culture and arts and social welfare, and administrative services.
