View original imageGwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) announced on July 2 that it recently conducted an "Experiential Training for Transportation-Vulnerable Individuals" at Nongsung Station in Seo-gu to raise awareness of people with disabilities and promote a culture of consideration.
The training was jointly organized with the Gwangju Regional Disabled Health Care Center. More than 60 participants engaged in hands-on programs such as wheelchair boarding and experiencing visual impairment, allowing them to directly feel and empathize with the inconveniences faced by transportation-vulnerable individuals.
The corporation plans to proactively identify and address the inconveniences of transportation-vulnerable groups through this training, and to actively work towards improving transportation welfare by enhancing mobility convenience.
President Cho Ikmoon stated, "We are making efforts to improve the convenience of urban rail use for transportation-vulnerable individuals," and added, "As a public enterprise in the local community, we will continue to take the lead in fulfilling our social responsibilities."
