Ansan City Partners with Korea University and KT to Implement Smart Administration Integrating AI and Big Data
Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province is promoting innovation in smart administration by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and big data in collaboration with Korea University and KT.

View original imageOn July 1, Ansan City announced that it held the 'AI Transformation (AX) Business Agreement Ceremony for Leading Administrative Innovation' with Korea University and KT at the first conference room of City Hall. 'AX' refers to introducing AI technology across organizations or industries to drive innovation and enhance efficiency.
This agreement was made as part of the city's ongoing efforts to realize AI-based smart administration, with the public, private, and academic sectors jointly pursuing administrative innovation by integrating AI and big data. Through the agreement, the three institutions will collaborate across all areas of administration on data-driven policy development, budget efficiency, and the advancement of public services.
Under the agreement, Ansan City will be responsible for administrative support and operating a regional network to discover region-specific policies and carry out pilot projects. Korea University will be in charge of planning policy research, designing business models, providing technical consultation, and establishing sustainable development strategies. KT will be responsible for identifying AI and big data-based projects, providing technical support, forming consortiums for public project bids, and facilitating information exchange.

Lee Mingeun, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity for Ansan City to accelerate administrative innovation through AI transformation," adding, "We will continue to expand the public-private-academic cooperation model to realize policies and services that citizens can truly experience."
