A total of 174 workers who meet certain employment criteria are eligible for this support in 2025.
As the pace of aging in Korea is rapidly accelerating, the importance of long-term care workers is increasing. However, there is a growing need for improvement due to poor working conditions and low compensation. In response, the district explained that it is seeking ways to improve the working environment and welfare of long-term care institution workers.
In addition, at 2 p.m. on July 4, the district will hold the "2025 Geumcheon District Long-Term Care Institution Workers' Day" event at the district office. During the event, exemplary long-term care workers will be recognized, and outstanding care cases within Geumcheon District will be shared.
The event will include a congratulatory performance, and comedian Kim Jucheol will give a lecture designed to bring laughter and foster empathy among the workers. The district plans to invite approximately 400 long-term care institution workers, including care assistants and social workers.
