Korea GM Sells 45,165 Units in June... Strong Export Performance of Compact SUVs
Korea GM announced on July 1 that it sold 45,165 units in June, bringing its cumulative sales for the first half of this year close to 250,000 units. This achievement was driven by strong overseas sales of the Chevrolet Trax Crossover and Trailblazer, both produced at Korea GM's domestic plants.
Korea GM's overseas sales in June totaled 43,886 units, marking the third consecutive month since April this year that overseas sales have exceeded 40,000 units. Of these, the Chevrolet Trax Crossover (including derivative models) accounted for 28,793 units, leading the performance, while the Chevrolet Trailblazer (including derivative models) recorded 15,093 units sold.
Domestic sales in June reached 1,279 units, with the Chevrolet Trax Crossover leading the results at 1,004 units sold. Notably, sales of the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck increased by 350% compared to the same month last year.
Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at Korea GM, stated, "We will continue to provide better services for domestic customers who trust the Chevrolet brand and our products, and we will do our utmost to ensure that customers who purchase our vehicles receive a wide range of benefits."
