Mayor Lee Expresses Gratitude to Employees on Their Way to Work... A Strong Start to the 11th Anniversary of His Inauguration
Reflecting on 30 Years Since City-County Integration
"Will Continue City Administration Based on Empathy and Communication"

On the morning of the 1st, marking the 11th anniversary of his inauguration, Mayor Kangdeok Lee of Pohang personally greeted employees arriving at the city hall entrance, expressing gratitude and encouragement.

Mayor Lee strengthened trust and communication with public officials, who are partners in city administration, by delivering snack boxes along with warm greetings.

This morning event, attended by Mayor Kangdeok Lee and senior officials at grade 4 or above, was organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the integration of Pohang City and Yeongil County. It also aimed to encourage employees and promote further development of city administration during the remaining year of the 8th popularly elected term.

Mayor Lee greeted employees at the basement level 1 entrance and said, "Pohang's current progress is thanks to the sweat and passion of each and every one of you," encouraging, "Let us join forces in the second half of the year to achieve even greater progress for Pohang."

Mayor Kangdeok Lee stated, "I sincerely thank all public officials who have led Pohang's transformation and growth together," and emphasized, "I will continue to pursue field-oriented innovative administration to create changes that citizens can truly feel."

Pohang City plans to reflect on the significance of the 30 years since the city-county integration, and, during the remaining period of the 8th term, continue to uphold 'sympathy and communication in city administration' as a core value, accelerating changes that citizens can experience firsthand.
