The report is organized into five chapters and also features ESG storytelling content such as employee interviews and caricatures.
In terms of governance, Hanssem implemented an executive officer system and a structure in which the dividend amount is determined before the record date is set, raising its compliance rate with core indicators in the governance report to 60%, a 7 percentage point increase from the previous year. To address climate change, the ESG Committee established in 2021 is leading initiatives to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle.
In the social sector, Hanssem strengthened the sustainability of its supply chain and workplaces by introducing ESG assessments for partners, human rights due diligence, and human rights impact assessments. Community engagement activities have also been carried out, with the cumulative number of housing improvement projects for vulnerable groups reaching 948 units as of the end of last year. Eco-friendly social contribution activities are also being expanded.
