Gwangsan District in Gwangju Provides "Safe Home Sets" for Single Women Households
On July 1, the Gwangsan District Office in Gwangju announced that it will provide "Safe Home Sets" throughout July to enhance residential safety for single women households. The program targets single women households renting in multi-family housing, row houses, and officetels within Gwangsan District.
The support items include four types: home CCTV, door opening sensors, window locks, and portable emergency bells. Some devices require a wireless internet (Wi-Fi) connection. Applications can be submitted by simply entering basic information through a Naver Form until July 31, and final recipients will be required to submit additional documents afterward. In-person applications are also accepted at the Women and Children Division of the Gwangsan District Office.
Gwangsan District plans to primarily use online applications to reduce the paperwork burden for applicants. Park Byungkyu, head of the district office, stated, "We have simplified the application process so that those in need of support can participate more actively," adding, "We will continue to pursue administration centered on the needs of our residents."
