'Vivid National Heritage Program'... Yeongdeok County Revitalizes Local History and Culture
Contributing to the Wider Recognition of Patriotic General Park Uijang and the Intangible Heritage Wolwolicheong
Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province held the "The Story of Patriotic General Park Uijang and Wolwolicheong" program on June 28, as part of the "Vivid National Heritage Project," at the Muuigongpa Jongtaek of the Muan Park Clan in Chuksan-myeon, Yeongdeok.

The program aimed to provide both local residents and tourists with opportunities to directly experience Yeongdeok County's historical resources and to foster a spirit of patriotism by utilizing the region's national heritage.
The event featured various programs, including a tour of the Jongtaek, a historical lecture, and the Yeongdeok Wolwolicheong performance, creating momentum for revitalizing Yeongdeok's historical assets as local tourism resources.
In particular, the Jongtaek tour was well received as an engaging program that highlighted the charm and historical significance of the traditional house of the Muuigongpa of the Muan Park Clan in Yeongdeok, allowing participants to appreciate the value of the region's cultural assets.
Kim Kwangyeol, the county governor, stated, "Through the Vivid National Heritage program, cultural heritage, which has often been regarded merely as an object for preservation and management, is now being re-examined for its historical and cultural value. We will continue to provide various forms of support and develop programs so that both local residents and tourists can share and enjoy the unique value and beauty of our regional culture."
