Gyeongbuk Technopark has joined the "Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign," co-hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, contributing to the spread of social consensus on addressing the issues of low birth rates and an aging population.

View original imageThis campaign, which began with the Ministry of Health and Welfare in October 2024, has seen government ministries and public institution heads participate in a relay format. Hain Sung, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, joined the campaign after being nominated by Jeong Kiwhan, Head of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Office of SMEs and Startups.
Gyeongbuk Technopark is exemplary in operating various family-friendly policies to help its employees balance work and family life.
The organization has continuously promoted a family-friendly corporate culture through flexible work arrangements, paternity leave, and customized welfare programs. As a result, it first obtained family-friendly certification from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2019 and has been selected as a family-friendly certified company for three consecutive terms, including in 2022 and 2024.

Hain Sung nominated Bae Youngho, President of Pohang Technopark, and Yoon Chilsuk, President of the Gyeongbuk Institute of IT Convergence Industry Technology, as the next participants in the campaign, encouraging its continued expansion.
