Bramlett Gets Lucky Entry as Alternate
'Knife dance performer' Tony Finau (USA) has withdrawn from the tournament.
The PGA Tour announced on June 25 (local time) that Finau notified the organizers of his withdrawal one day before the start of the Rocket Classic. Joseph Bramlett (USA), who was on the waiting list, received Finau's spot in the field. Although the reason for Finau's withdrawal was not disclosed, his decision to skip the tournament has drawn attention as it is considered unusual.

His world ranking, which once climbed as high as ninth, has dropped to 44th. He has also slipped to 19th in the Ryder Cup points ranking, making it difficult for him to qualify automatically. In November last year, Finau underwent surgery to remove cartilage from his left knee.
